Theresa Churchill was born in South Korea and is an adoptee.  She was adopted to a Korean woman and a United States Air Force serviceman from Iowa.  The surname on her birth records was EOM (sounds like "OM").  The mix of Korean-American heritage and culture is special to her and she wished to honor her roots.  Theresa also has studied with a teacher from a Korean lineage and wishes to maintain ties to the ancestral aspects of what she has learned. 

We also wish to recognize the connections to the Earth (land), Ocean (waterways), and Mountains of this place we reside.  EOM is a nod to the beauty we seek. 

Healing Center is consciously written in italics.  It is thought of as an action or verb rather than solely a place.  We wish for you as the patient to embody the action of Centering Your Healing, Centering Your Health, and Healing Your Center.
